• Episode 1 - The founding of the CMQ
  The CMQ is founded in 1847. Charlatans are being hunted down. There are tensions between physicians in the city and physicians in rural regions, between Francophones and Anglophones. The CMQ contributes to developments in clinical practice.
• Episode 2 - The medical revolution and the early decades
  In the second episode of the podcast, author and historian Denis Goulet recounts the medical revolution and the early decades of the CMQ's history against a backdrop of epidemics and compulsory vaccination. In this half of the 19th century, the Collège des médecins du Québec works on cleaning up its membership, for some members are selling fake medicines! At the end of the second episode, you can listen to comments from our presenter Bernard Derome.
• Episode 3 - A first code of ethics and the disciplinary council
  At the dawn of the 19th century, the Collège des médecins du Québec adopts its first code of ethics, forms a first disciplinary council and clarifies its responsibilities with respect to medical training.
• Episode 4 - The francization of activities and the fight against charlatans
  At the turn of the century, the Collège des médecins du Québec is finally granted greater disciplinary powers and continues its fight against the dangerous and popular charlatans who proclaim themselves physicians.
  
• Episode 5 - Updating medical knowledge and self-discipline
  Starting in the 1910s, significant advances in medical knowledge change the ways physicians in Quebec do things. The CMQ does everything in its power to make its members aware of new scientific practices. Respecting these practices becomes all the more important when Quebec is struck by the Spanish flu in 1918. This episode is hosted by Denis Goulet and Bernard Derome.
  
• Episode 6: The development of the hospital system and the advent of specialties
  During and after the Second World War, medicine continues to evolve in Quebec and distances itself from religion. The CMQ acquires new responsibilities with respect to the recognition of specialties and is interested in the delimitation of reserved medical acts. It also works on promoting the image of physicians and the profession.
  
• Episode 7: Transformations in the health care system and feminization of the profession
  In the late 1960s, the CMQ undergoes a philosophical reorientation with Drs. Gingras and Roy. From then on, the CMQ considers that prevention is better than punishment when it comes to professional inspections. In addition, there is a sharp increase in the number of women in medicine.   Final episode of the podcast! In this episode, hosts Bernard Derome and Denis Goulet present the CMQ's more recent activities. The challenges are many (social responsibility, complaints, position statements, branding, etc.) as the CMQ continues its efforts to develop closer relations with the public.
