Obtaining a restrictive permit allows a physician to perform certain professional acts. This permit, issued by the Collège des médecins du Québec, is renewable every year. There are different restrictive permits depending on your situation: international medical graduate, clinical evaluation intern or graduating resident. Since June 1, 2024, the Collège des médecins du Québec (CMQ) is no longer the employer of candidates applying for the restrictive permit route undergoing an adaptation and evaluation period.
