The holder of a regular permit to practice family medicine issued before 1994 is exempt from the obligation to hold a certificate in family medicine. Note that under section 37 of the Charter, a “temporary” permit may be issued. See Step 2.
Requirements:
- Hold a regular permit to practice in Canada without any restrictions or limitations
- Hold a specialist’s certificate issued by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or the College of Family Physicians of Canada
- Have participated in the ALDO-Quebec educational activity
- Provide proof of French language proficiency
- Complete an application for medical registration on physiciansapply.ca
- Register on the Roll of the Order: First registration
